Outdoor grow in Austin, TX during winter

Ya skrew that. dont grow outside in austin unless your sitting on your own land. with a few guns. and know the sherrif... lol. j/k... i lived in austin for over 10 years. it gets cold
i built a cfl setup for about 60 bucks. 8 lights 4 plants...... you could prob do it with 4 lights. for cheaper which 4 -26wat bulb pack is 10-12 bucks
goto home depot grab a 4 socket vanity fixture for 9-14 bucks.

4 lights 10-12 bucks
4 socket vanity fixture 10-15 bucks
chain to hang. 5 bucks

and when you flower. just get 2dollar Y splitters and add 4 more bulbs. your done.

add water,soil and w8 for some buds to apear
here is my result
day 46 now into flowering
I vegged under 2 lights, then 4 lights, flowering im at 8 lights with an added 2 on the side to kill any shadows.

you can also hang cfl lights from a power strip bar. with an outlet to bulb socket adapters 2.00$ each

germinating in dirt isnt that reliable to me so i use paper towls just wrap the seed and water then drain the exess and you said you were growing in your yard
that is not very safe but you shouldnt have a problem growing under 100 dallars
if you go with miracle grow as a medium remember to mix half with peeat moss
and if your trying to find a light to start your seeds just by about 4 grow lights from walmart some say they dont work but they do you just need more than 2 of them
