HI, I am new to the site. I am not a novice grower but am just learning basic organics. Also learning about INDOOR growing as I have always been an OUTDOOR grower. Also learning there is a big difference. My questions concern for starters the soil mix. If you mix a good organic soil mix do you still use your organic teas and if so how often? My soil mix is as follows. I started with a basic topsoil around 400 lbs or so. I added 80 lbs of Earth worm castings, 4 cups of Alfalfa meal, 4 cups of Kelp meal, 2 pounds of bone meal, 2 pounds of blood meal, 5 pounds of Bat Guano (mexican), 1 pound of Peruvian Seabird Guano, 1 pound of Jamacian Bat Guano, 2 cups epsom salt, 1/2 cup of fulvic acid, 1/2 cup of green sand, 1 pound of crushed oyster shells, 2- 20lb bags of volcanic rock and a handful of NEEM. I let this mix "cook" for 2 months stirring it a few times a week. I have a regular compost pile that is a mixture of old horse manure and topsoil with lots of vegtable matter thrown in over the years. I am using 15 gal. black nursery pots. I put some volcanic rock in the bottom of each pot then filled them around halfway full of the Regular Compost soil and then finished filling them with the soil mix. I planted one seed in the center of each pot to avoid transplanting. I have everything to make some good teas with, bat guanos and kelp meals and alfalfa meals and EWC concentrate liquid. The seeds came up and are growing beautifully. I have a concern as one of the plants leaves seem to be curling some. :wtf: I am wondering if my soil is too hot. I am also wondering if I should make teas for them or if the soil mix is enough for them. :wtf: Any help would be appriciated. Also wondering if anyone knows a good organic site that may be better suited for these questions ? THANKS! :yippee:
