there is no right or wrong only style and preference-
It has become increasingly more common to use HPS all the way due to the introduction of Blue enhanced hortilux lamps. I still have and use a 400w MH, but I have a smaller 250w hps I use occasionally. And; Yes The MH has the red spectrum enhanced Sunmaster lamp. The main observation as to the diffence between a MH or HPS in veg cycle is that plants stretch a bit more under HPS. Not necessarily a bad thing. Just the reaction I have witnessed.
