Too late to trim roots?
Hello all,
Have a question. I have 1 plant and it has flowered and from what I am told 4-6 weeks before it could be harvested. My problem is that its root bound and the leafs are starting to turn yellow and dying. Can I transfer to bigger pot or will it finish off the plant? any advice would help. I am using CFL lights and had no ploblems until 3 days ago. I dont water everyday either.Wayne250cch Reviewed by Wayne250cch on . Too late to trim roots? Hello all, Have a question. Too late to trim roots?
Hey Wayne!
This is actually hard to answer, we don't know what size pot its in, the plant size, the strain, and we can't actually see pictures.
The reason it's hard to answer is because some strains when close to finishing will soak up all the nutrients from the leaves, turning them all, and eventually killing them off. For the strains that do this, it's a good thing, because all those nutrients are going straight to the buds to swell them up. So use photobucket or another image sharing site, give us some general pictures, and a few closeups - Tell us about the pot size your using, and any strain knowledge you have. Also give us a few shots of the buds that are forming or have formed, because at this point the bud health is more important than the leaves.
Have you started using bootstrap molasses in your water yet?
I'll give the support and help I can, but really do need more info before I can help.

Never trim your roots. If you are root bound; Gently re pot into bigger pot.
Yellowing of leaves is normal as plant matures and is getting ready for harvest. during flower, about 1/2 way thru, we start to lower Nitrogen intake of plant, and this results in Yellowing of fan leaves. This shows us that the plant is using the dtored nutrient (Nitrogen) and thue\s the fan leaves yellow and fall off.
