Love the idea, but I thought you were talking about MH HPS not CFL.

Using the 2 CFL lamps cannot hurt.

I used to use my 400w MH high bay lamp (my veg lamp), and a 250 watt HPS (my side light) in the grow room before I got the 1000w hortilux set up. You will like the results.
bitemybud Reviewed by bitemybud on . Does using both types of lights make a difference? So I was watching a documetary on growing the other day and they were talking about using MH and HPS lights for the plants durring the flowering process. They said that the plants get a wider spectrum of lights and will develop thicker denser buds. My question is...has anyone tried this and if so does it really make a difference? I am using CFL lights because I am growing in a small area and dont want to worry about heat issues so I would be using the 6500K and the 2700K light bulbs. Thanks Rating: 5
