Hi Everybody! Question for you!
First of all, its good to be back. Went on hiatus for a couple of years there, but im back! good to see you all again (for those who remember me).
So here's the deal. I'm currently about two weeks into flower and im in a bit of a pickle. My baby recently decided to start yellowing and crisping. it seems to be concentrated in the center and bottom of the plant for now, but is of increasing concern. Now I've narrowed down the problem to ph lockout. apparently the tap water where i'm from is pretty alkaline. my soil ph meter (albeit not the best meter ive seen) reads right around 8.0, which is the point at which major lockout starts to occur.
The issue im having is the adjustment of said ph. go buy ph down at my local hydro store right??? wrong. i live horribly far away from any place the sells the stuff and am VERY VERY broke.
So... here the question. what home remedies can be used to lower ph? white vinegar seems to be a popular response. but being that i dont have a ph meter that works in water, how much white vinegar (or other substance) should be added per gallon to lower the ph by one? i read somewhere that about 1 tsp per gallon does the trick. any suggestions?
