Looks like things are going great for you. congrats man. I would love to top a few of mine and strip a bunch of leaves also. but this is my first grow although I'm confident it wont kill the girls I'm not sure if it will be negative to flower production. I'm still only a dew days into flower and have been trying to decide quickly. Still haven't but I know one of these days I'm likely going to start chopping and hope for the best. Your plants look great and I love the visual practicality of the way you've got it spread out with all the impotent parts accessing the light better. It just makes a lot of sense to keep her vertically condensed especially given how fast lumen depreciate over distance. I have some that are no more then 8" wide but are approaching the 2 foot mark for height. I have lots of height in my situation but It just don't look efficient to me.
Any way. Keep on given-er dude! I'm fallowing you along for the ride.JoeBlow78 Reviewed by JoeBlow78 on . topped blue widow by dog update with lst! hey guys so here i have my blue widow, the smaller guys are blue hash, critical jack, and a big bud x white widow, my dog ate my previous 2 blue widows m ladyburn hence the difference in growth! the biggest girl the last survivor , blue widow, was topped at 1 week by my dog, bite the head off the plant back to its 1st single bladed leaf!!:wtf: naturally i panicked as i hadnt even reached the 3rd node :( im still a noob so was lookin for some info on it, what to expect ect but couldnt find Rating: 5

632 was off 2 jack H and a purple haze mate, veg was 4 and a half weeks tho, again i was practicing so top'd and lst'd and pretty much super cropped every branch lol, same nute mix. best nug was 42g  but even the side branches due to lst were between 20-30g. dont think i will hit that this crop tho as the smaller 3 only had 2 weeks veg but we will see..this will be my 1st grow where iv left 2 of them alone, guess just finding out what i get on with.. which brings me to your very helpful and informative post
i like the idea of being already started and being able to chose the phenoy
especially if she is top grade. unfortunately i only have the one space, wheels are already in motion on a bigger area in the new year. lol with regards to ur spidermites, iv been luckly enough not to av come across them? do we even get them in the uk? try and find some ladybirds? there ment to be awesome for little pests
JB  thanks man, fingers crossed!
by the sounds of it you have more than one? if your in the 1st week maybe an experiment seeing as this is your 1st grow? not sure what strains you have but if you have any 8-12 weeks flower cycle then maybe top and prune one now and compare it too the untouched one at the end, then use it on the next one and so forth, theres so many techniques it will take a while lol but thats half of the fun. i am a fan of lst, i too also like the idea of all the tops getting equal light and with only having one overhead light i find it easier to achieve this way, (advise to do that in the veg stage tho)- saying that i think a scrog set up might be on the cards next time if im feeling dangerous lol.
good to have you on board bro looking forward to hearing of your success, be good to see how you get on. peace

thanks. yes there are... lets just say lots! but I only have space in flower room for maybe 24 extreme max!.(that's 12" pots 3 roes x 6 roes) I have a 1000w on a 6 foot light mover. I may get a 3' extension but would rather not. Some of them are 2' tall already and some are only a foot tall! I'm so screwed! And I've got ones in veg that are about a foot tall also! I accounted for a 50% mails and so far its more like 2%. And my dumb ass friend just kept showing up germinated seeds with any regards for timing at all! Any way I've got the a little over 8' of height to work with but not much for floor space. the really tall ones i striped every fan leaf of of them yesterday. But should I fim them too? will that slow the stretching down? I'm stressing about this. I'm a bit of a control freak and this is putting me way out of my comfort zone. But their is a small voice in my head saying "screw it! what ever happens happens"
Love your Einstein quote by the way!

Oops. I mean 3 roes of 6 would be my preferred max. But I can cram 4 staggered roes of 6 or 7 if I have to.

h_t_y, sry to reply to another post on your thread but...
JB-you should not FIM your plants unless they have at least a week to recover in veg before transition. If you must, FIM will slow stretch, but hurt quality and yield at this point, and it will increase the likelihood of hermies. I would just super crop...
IMOO, I would break every branch about halfway down and bend them outward to even out the garden profile. Don't mess with tops during transition at all. Once all the budding sites have formed, the stretch will begin to slow. If you aren't familiar, there's lotsa stuff on youtube about supercropping.
Don't say 'Screw it!'! Give peace a chance!Genesis 9:3

yo kest
not a problem dude, its what 'this' is all about  wise words
JB i too would not suggest a fim in flower, strictly veg due to longer recovery time, maybe a top in the 1st week if u really have to, also dont go too mad on the leaf stripping, they need a certain amount to be able to keep there chemical balance, u take too much u could make her think she wont make enough energy to create the nugs and will focus on making remaking them. i hear u with the height issues tho, iv had to put my ww x bb on a bucket as she is staying short- i load up some pics lol im late on my update anyway! due to the nature of ur set up, scrog sounds good for you too? there a thing called a vertical scrog, might suit u better
peace is the way forward

this is 2 days into week 2 in flower,
Attachment 288613Attachment 288614
critical jack- the two fan leafs at the top are literally reaching for the light, there almost vertical.
about 3" growth from the 2 new tops, the 2 underneath are the same height and their coming up together. long pistols forming everywhere.
Attachment 288615Attachment 288616
blue hash- have left her go,(no training apart from pushing fan leafs being pushed under the new growth) tallest of the 4 she has already caught up with the bw.:wtf:

ww xbb- shortest densest 'thing' iv seen yet.. she has more nodes and growth than the BH, and the CJ and is half the size! still not much info on her so was going to leave her, although due to being so dense compact im finding water between the leaves, i might have to prune if she doesn't stretch up soon. do not want
Attachment 288619Attachment 288620
blue widow-showing most change with regards to flower, her tops are starting to stretch out and her heads are a mass of pistolsshe is also a very dense girl and very dark in colour, still keeping the temp 15c at night. hopefully see those reds in a few weeks

should be inside attached to a carbon filter, i have it outside blowing 'room' air into the grow. room has a window open and there is a through draft created by me due to opening another window in another room and leaving the doors open. have 6" fans placed at the bottom and top also on 24:7
