First time grower - Purpling of leaves? bad or good?

Title says it all, I'm a first time grower, With 1 plant indoors, inside my closet. It is a CFL grow.
But what I'm wondering is, why do my bigger fan leaves have a tint of purple in them?
Is it because it's is a type of purple kush?

    Thanks!

I don't know what strain it is. That's why I'm wondering. I'm just trying to make sure that I'm not doing anything wrong.

Purple is a sign of deficiency, usually anyway. I think it's phosphate. If the leaves are purple and healthy then it was a genetic thing, but if the purple is on the stems and you find necrotic areas and it's spreading, then it's phosphate. Sometimes when temp swings 10-15 degrees from day to night, then you have purpling of leaves. I am assuming because the temp swing affects absorption.

Without the knowledge of the strain, the grow, or pictures - Nobody can give you anything close to an educated answer. We don't even know what stage of the grow your in. For instance, if your in the first month of veg, this could be a temp issue, however, if we're in the 3rd week of flower, it could be strain genetics. There are so many variables here that the question actually needs guidelines:

What is your knowledge of the strain
What is your grow setup (not just CFL)
    What are your high/low temps
    Whats your RH?
    What's your average PH?
    Whats your grow medium?
    What nutes are you using?
Where are you in the grow? Ie: Seedling, veg, flower - and how far along?
    Pics will be helpful
Light leak info will also be helpful, as well as ventilation and fan use

Keep in mind - you asking this question is the exact same as me asking - Why does my car smell like gas? with no followup or leadin, there could be several reasons why someones car smells like gas - The last thing anyone would have guessed would be that someone walked through a puddle of gas before getting into the car.

We need the other information before an educated answer can be given.

I'm at about 4-5 weeks in veg, my average PH is 6.3 . I'm unaware of my temps unfortunately . I also have absolutely no knowledge of the strain. I have a picture to show you of my plant though. It's a 300watt CFL grow. (only one plant)
It's been growing rather rapidly, so I really do not believe it's anything too bad.

Color is normal for this stage of veg - but since your using a 2700 spectrum for veg, your light intake might be a little off, so the coloration variation (I do see some) can be caused by this. I'd like to give you some pointers:

    1) Lose the tin foil, It looks like your in a small box, I'm not sure, but don't use tinfoil, it actually causes hot spots on different spots of the plant because of the crinkles, if you look at most of the pro logs you'll see different types of mylar, some reflective, some white, some even just use a flat white paint - Any of these options will disperse the light for your plant(s) better.

    2) This might also be causing your tip burn, but it looks like its lacking nitrogen (N), this can be fixed with everyday household plant food (at very low strength, no more than 1/2 of the recommended dose)

    3) It looks indica, but with so many strain variations, its hard to tell. On this note, can you give me a closeup of the inter-node?

    4) Bushiness looks good, at least your not growing charlie browns christmas tree- Seen so many of those lately on what people are calling healthy plants its ridiculous, you will actually benefit from putting the lamp a little closer, honestly, at this stage, I'd be doing my first tiedown and bringing the branches out with some LST, then I'd toss it over to flower after another week or so, but I do shorter bushy grows.

Other than those things, it looks good for a first time grow. Since your using bagseed, I'd suggest not taking clones unless this was some really good smoke - It's a good looking plant, but if your not sure of the genetics and its just a mid level smoke, I'd get some good quality seeds after this one.

Keep it up, sorry it took me so long to respond, but get me those internode pics (good quality) and I'll tell you the sex, if you don't already know.

Talk soon + rep if you like my advice (push the sheriff star)

I appreciate your help, but I sadly have some bad news. But first, we'll give some good news, The plant was doing fantastic, growing tons day by day. The purpling of the leaves went away. I was a few days before switching into flowering. But... my grow closet was found by someone, and It had to be taken down. It really hurt my feelings having to rip it up and flush it down the toilet. Oh well, It's always good to think positive, atleast now I know I can grow
I'm going to be purchasing a lock for my closet very shortly to ensure this doesn't happen again.

    Cheers.

Here is advice I got years ago when learning to grow.

buy The Indoor Grow Bible by J. Cervantes. Then you can look at pictures of nutrient lock or deficiencies, and figure out what your problem is.
