Patience grasshopper... it does take a while. No one here can answer your question as posed, because we do not know anything about your setup or even what strain your are growing. Everything can affect your eventual harvest time, from how much light you are giving them, to how you water. Roughly, you are looking at 1 week before you will see obvious changes in the plant going into flowering mode. After 2-3 weeks, your plants will stop stretching vertically and will settle in for the long haul in developing buds. Generally, after 8-10 weeks, they will finish up... again depending on all the above mentioned factors. I suggest in the meantime you read everything that you can get your hands on, because at the end you will be looking at the trichomes, and not the pistils changing color, to tell you when they are ready to harvest. The pistils actually start turning after the 3rd or 4th week, and they have nothing at all to do with whether it is ripe or not.
