If you have faith that the supports available in your tent are up to the task of handling the weight, then I'd say that's the way to go.
It can be a challenge doing it alone, having to support the weight, while getting it secured. I've found that a set of ratcheting tie-downs make the job a breeze if you are doing it solo. Nothing fancy, mine are small with a 1"x15' strap.
There are a number of ways to secure the parts once you get them up there. (didn't the tent come with straps for that purpose?)
I like to use some heavy-duty bungee cords, they can help in isolating some of the fan vibration.
Id say the filter is about 15lbs. I got it secured with some small tie down straps. The hard part was getting the duct over the filter outlet and clamping it on by myself. Tonight ill be putting up my new fan ill take sum pics of the final setup
drew225 Reviewed by drew225 on . Ideas on how to mount by blower or hang it in my grow tent?? I just got a second blower. I will be using 1 for exhaust with carbon scrubber, and 1 for cooling my light. Can anyone give me some ideas on how mount/and or hang my blowers and filter? I currently have 1 of my blowers and filter on a small table but it is taking up too much space and has already fallen over once and hurt some of my plants. Thanks Rating: 5
