    Saying I DO

    Ok heres the problem.
I am having a baby and my partner wants to marry me.He is Catholic and i am Church of England. He wants to be married the catholic way in a church with the whole religious thing.I was told for me to get married like that i have to prove myself to the Catholic church for 1 year before i can marry in that church as i am not that religion and have to attend fairly regularly for 1 full year.I will not do that as i am not really religious and have never even gone to my own church except for a wedding or whatever. We want to get married before the baby is born so within 6 months just because we want to do things the right way as he has a child already and so do i.I think he just wants that to make his family happy. What should i do ? Im thinking lets just elope and when we get back we tell everyone that we are married because going to church for a year is just out of the question for me i would never expect him to do that to be able to marry me.My religion aint good enough as i have an uncle who is a minister but he dosent seem interested in him marrying us.

I know that some catholic churches require you to go to some classes on marriage and stuff. I dont think they require you to convert or anything like that, but from what i hear they can be Nazis when it comes to marriage.
