Yea so if you wanted to purify crude safrole (which is exclusively soluble in alcohol) from nutmeg seeds by soaking them in 90% alcohol you would have lets see...

Nutmeg consists of approximatly 30-55% oil and 45-60% solids/cellulose.
Being coservative and saying 30% oil we have approximately 0.6% safrole in the nut oil meaning...

1g nut = 0.3g nut oil
1g nut oil = 0.06g safrole

how much nutmeg would it take to theoretically extract 1g of the MMDA precusor safrole?

1g safrole x 1g nut oil / 0.06g safrole x 1g nutmeg / 0.30g oil = 55g nutmeg/g safrole

Oh looks like theres a mistake the oil is actually 73% Trimyristin and 12.5% essential oil meaning the conversion becomes 1gnut oil = .125g essential oil

1g saf x 1g ess. oil / .06g saf x 1g nut oil / 0.125g ess. oil x 1g nut / 0.30g oil
= 444g nut/g safrole. Due?

Actually, it would be the DXM obtained divided by DXM in the syrup, and there are MUCH better soarces of safrole than nutmeg.
