Did I pass?
Niacin is an old myth that has its origins from a very unscientific "study" conducted by L. Ron Hubbard and the Scientology Movement more than four decades ago. Hubbards so-called "study" however, was centered around a certain (off-topic) hallucinogenic drug. He claimed that ingesting niacin and sitting in a sauna would, over time, eliminate the "residues" of the drug and prevent "flashbacks". There is not a shred of scientific evidence to support Hubs ludicrous claim.

Therefore, anything that comes out of Hubs mouth should be taken with a box of salt.
And if that wasnt enough, somewhere down the line some "brilliant" pothead, obviously acting under a garbled understanding, took Hubs claim and thought "hey man, if this niacin thing can get rid of the residues of this (off-topic) drug, then it must get rid of THC residues" ... What Mr. "Brilliant" Pothead and Hub never realized, is that drug tests look for drug metabolites - not residues.
The myth had been born.
And a myth that still persists today because there are many people that claim to have taken niacin before taking a drug test and passed. The niacin was wrongly credited for their passing when the real hero was the copius amounts of water that theyve consumed with the niacin, which effectively diluted their THCA concentration in their bladder to where their urine sample registered below the cutoff thresholds of the drug screen. These people wouldve passed anyway, just on the water-loading alone and without the niacin to go with it.
With all that being stated, niacin does nothing to help pass a U/A.
All detox products "work" via the principle of dilution. That means they "work" because of the water that youre required by the instructions to drink with them. Like the niacin myth stated above, the water consumption dilutes the THCA concentration that is present in the bladder. Those detox products do nothing to rid the body of THC, as the sales pitches would like the consumer to believe. You can spend an obscene amount of money on a magic "detox" elixir, and accomplish nothing different than what can be accomplished using just vitamin B2 and water.
Sure many of those products boast about containing creatine. What those products dont tell you (perhaps in an effort to avoid "blowing a sale") is that it takes 2-3 days for the body to metabolize creatine into creatinine (the end waste product that is found in urine and tested for at the labs). Therefore, the creatine ingredient will do you no good at all when the "detox" product is consumed on the day of the U/A (in which the instructions require the consumer to do so). Any creatine-loading must be done at least 3 days before the scheduled U/A.
In summary, "detox" products are a big scam to capitalize on the so-called "war on drugs" by preying upon the uninformed and credulous, and taking their hard-earned cash. Cannabis users are victimized enough by the so-called "war on drugs" without these vulturing scam artists swooping down into the mix. :wtf:
There is no product that can permanently rid the body of THC. The only proven way to rid the body of THC is time and fat-burning exercise.
To sum it all up, I, for one, would rather place credence on proven information based upon empirical scientific evidence, intstead of second or third-party anecdotes; and/or some nutcracker magic from more than four decades ago. Drug testing is an issue that is to be taken seriously. Thats because there are careers, families, and freedoms that are hinging on the outcome of a drug test.
