is there a difference?
Recently, I found some bulbs in the maintenance shop where I work. (250w MH and 125w HPS) I grabbed a couple of them because I got a little excited but I later realized that they probably won't work. So my question obviously is, can they be used? Are the lights in the websites specific plant grow lights, or is there a difference? Any info would be great. I'm getting really anxious to start my first grow.

is there a difference?
Unfortunately, only about 15 percent of light emitted by HID/CFL bulbs is available in the bands of light needed for photosynthesis. In contrast, 90-99 percent of the light emitted by LED grow lights is immediately usable in plants for photosynthesis.
Any idea about led grow lights?
