true story... i was trying to get into the navy a few years back and i passed a drug test without even passing. i smoked then but not daily. i smoke about 3 days of the week on and off. at this time i wasnt working and had dropped out of community college so i decide to join the navy. while i was in the dep program, i was still smoking and didnt think that i was going to get drug tested at the time. however, when i was about a week or two before my ship date, i got called in for a drug test. i smoked the day before. it was pretty simple though. i went in and got tested by the recruiters captain and it spooked the shit outta me. i kinda said fuck it and went in to get test anyways. had no choice. when i went in, the cap gave me a strip and told me to take a piss and drop the strip in the cup once done pissing. and if the strip showed two lines then good but if only one, then all bad. however, when i got done with the whole ordeal, it was all bad. to be honest, i went in all shaky and nervous as hell and i honestly think he knew wassup. i had no choice so i said fuck it and took the test anyways. once i got done pissing, i stayed in the bathroom for a good 4 minutes just to see my result. it was no bueno.i was trippin balls. i knew and i was like damn, but i said fuck it and brought it out to the cap anyways cuz i had no choice. i knew for a fact i failed but had no choice so i came out with the test and gave it to the cap. he looked at it and said, "congrats." i was in panick mode but couldn't do anything about it so i brought it out. with that being said, the cap told me good luck and i'll set up a meeting with you and your recruiter at meps, "you passed." i was shocked as shit. in my mind, i was like "WTF??!!" but at the same time, happy as shit cuz he had gave me a pass when i clearly failed.

im not telling you to smoke or think it's okay. im just telling you my own experience with the military or the navy's recruiting office i went to. this really happened to me and i was NOT clean. i dont know whether i was clean when tested at meps or not but i was swore in and everything so im assuming i was clean, unless they just really didnt give a rats ass. this was in '05 so i dont know if that matters any. time between tested at recruiting office and meps was within a week only and i honestly believe i was not clean yet. i felt as if they just didnt care and took me in cuz i had no prior record and seemed like a good kid then. i was definitely dirty tho. times have changed, so dont take my word for it. im just telling you my experience with the navy recruiting office i went to and the meps experience i had. but in anycase, dont risk it and stay clean cuz you have to go thru physical and they expect you tobe in tity whiteys so ya cant sub AT ALL at meps.
