what was ur temperature inside dude. U should have probably adjusted it to colder temps before being outside. Luckily without my planning my girl was in a very cold room (50s-60s) and then I moved her outside.

    how's it looking now.

i think we're overlooking the obvious.. when your plants were inside, they got used to being very comfortable. now you put them outside, and just by looking at the pictures, it looks like the soil and conditions are pretty rough. i mean, your plant is the only green thing around (in the pic), which tells me that it's not a great place / time for plants to grow. so basically, your plants will have to battle to survive, and hopefully they can adjust.

yeah the temp inside was pretty fuckin warm. at least 75-80 pretty constantly..and the soil theyre in is potting soil mixed with a little of the already there soil...you just cant tell from the pics absolut420...but theyre in crazy tall grass and and lightly wooded area with poison sumac also growing in different array of spots..so conditions are not bad...there extremely habitable if not perfectly covered while getting full days sun at the same time.

so are his plants going to flower now? I plan on putting my plants outside on may 24 coming from a 24/0 light cycle. It's way too early for my plants to start flowering, I want them to grow naturally throughout the summer and flower in the fall. This is in Ontario so conditions should be quite similiar to chicago

They will TRY to flower. If not mature enough to flower, they will struggle to survive, grow shitty and likely die, turn hermie or be stick plants.

    Pick one....

They will definately know thier light has been cut in half and do what plants do. They will act as if they would in an indoor grow and you cut the light to 12/12.

    Thats how it works.

should I get my plants on a 18/6 schedule then? will they still flower after being transfered outdoors prior to an 18/6 schedule? How can I avoid this? I want my plants flower after a full season of growing outside, like in sept/oct like they normally would in nature.

i move mine outdoors every year around mid-may and they do not go into flower. and all those indoor plants in the pics...they're now harvested and set outside with a good dose of veg ferts and most have begun regenerating. iow, it seems the plant 'knows' when it's spring and longer days are coming. i can't explaint it scientifically, but every year i've been growing indoors i've done it this way (earlier where possible) and have never seen one go into flower after vegging indoors under 18/6 or 24/0...

and it doesn't matter much when outdoor plants are planted, they'll all flower sept thru nov...

just my observation over the years...

that's what I thought del... , I don't what the fuck Harddon is talking about. Anyhow as far as how the plant knows what time of year it is, I just started reading a book called "Supernature" (by Lyall Watson). The book talks alot about "circadian" rythms and how lots of species in nature rely on them. I think it's an instictive behaviour that the plant just knows from experiance
