I am a UK grower and i would like to share my method of killing bugs like spider mites etc and helping to reduce mildew and other leaf diseases.
I read in an article that ultra violet light was used in commercial growing to kill waterborne bacteria and also helps to kill bugs by damaging the DNA of the pest, this in turn kills them and any eggs that may have been planted. I tried for a while without success to find a suitable set up using a uv light then i came across a company in the UK who will add the correct uv leds into the light itself which is a great idea. So i tested one to see how it would affect my plants and to my amazement it actually worked, so i bought several of these grow lights with a bit more power and added the uv to them. I have no problems now and i have managed to stop using sprays as well which is better for the plants. I know this company ship abroad but see if you can find a local grow shop that can offer this service as its well worth it.
