I was looking at the plant while it was in it's first day of flowering and they are double the size of mine in height with very little side shoots. I know some people like tall plants, but when growing indoor its usually not a favorable trait cause of space issues. Plus who doesn't love a short bushy plant? If you want to get more yield you wanna get those lights closer and do some LST to increase size and number of lower and side growth. This way you can have more plants in a smaller area,if they get too bushy start trimming them, too tall start topping them, be in control of the plant. Also invest in some better nutes I personally am loving the botanicare line I use pro grow for vegging and pro bloom and liquid karma with a little sweet mixed in all from the botanicare line. As far as cfl's go they are not ideal for growing as it is, although i use them you gotta understand that fact,if your gonna go the cfl route you gotta double maybe triple the amount of what someone using hid lighting would use, also a fan on the plant is always good, it promotes stronger stems not directly blasting at it,just so its waving a little bit. You have the green thumb growing that plant in minimal conditions you could probably do very well with the correct equipment. Hopefully you give another go at it. Good luck

I definatley agree with you 100%! I know i had big problems with stretch in the first few weeks and couldn't correct it. I do plan on giving it another go as soon as this one is done with twice or triple the lights. I didn't find out about any growing techniches until it was too late(fimming topping hst act.) I do appreciate your advice all the way, and will have new pics up soon. A question tho, can i harvest sooner than.normal since A LOT OF MY LEAVES ARE DRING OFF. And i don't see enough new growth to sustain bud growth? So the buds themselves absorbs light too to grow or just leaves? Thanks anyone and thank you Billy!

You might want to wait to harvest at least until all the trichs. are cloudy.
There's alot of discussion about when to harvest here on the board.....Maybe check it out???
BTW.....I think you did a helluva nice job.....Congrats on a successful 1st time around!..............J....

ACCIDENTAL GROW LOG
Thanks so much for looking in like i said i did this on accident(sort of i mean really who accidentally grows weed???except for the oldtimer farmer LOL great story look it up) but i never did expect this. Now IM wondering,my hometown clinic ( i live in so. Cal so there everywhere) sells clones but the employees are newer to growing than i am and basically useless. Do you think. I could put a 6-8 inch clone into flowering now so i could harvest my current plant in 3-6 weeks and have the clone going through the beginning of flowering so i could start a continuing grow(after much needed upgrades)?with proper training methods how many plants would be ideal for a 2x2 x4 box? I do love all the advice on this board but i know nothing beats hands on experience so i want to do it all right now. And i appologize to those who will tell me all i need to know is in other post, some can be very confusing and off topic(much like I've just made this) thanks again everyone

ACCIDENTAL GROW LOG
Another 2 weeks might do it.
The calyx are beginning to swell.
I see signs of over-watering and those fans are toast, but fans are used for stalk growth and storage.
Stalk growth is done and them fans are empty so no worry 'bout dem.
The sugar leaf is the food engine now and will supply the energy for bud growth and resin production.
With the fan leaf gone, transpiration will drop drastically.
They will need less water, give them less, and stop feeding about now.
Let them limp across the finish line and try for at least a few amber colored capitate glands.
If you harvest when all the caps are clear, you will get a short-term, spacey head effect but there is very little medical value.
And a 2' X 2' X 4' box is inadequate for 2 decent plants and 2 seedlings.
Do yourself a favor and build a bigger box.
I can tell you've been reading, Keep it up.
Aloha,
Weezard
