Your basic 100 watt incandescent bulb is too weak on the blue spectrum for good indoor starts. You would be far better off with the CFL lights as you can get them within an inch of the plant top as long as you have a fan blowing the heat off the bulb.

In your picture, one of your plants is named "whore" and the other "cunt" ?

Seems kind of insultive for such nice plants.

I wont be growing for long with these type of lights, but just long enough till my plants can go outside. And is it better to use a soft whit bulb or an unfiltered one? (Please only reply if you know the answer or could suggest another cheap alternative) Rating: 5
