My cloning skills suck
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I've had two batchs (around 15 total) of clones not root. As far as I can tell, I've done everything in Jorge's video. I'm using Rootech. They live for a week or two and then rot. Roots don't form at all. I keep the Rootech in the fridge. That wouldn't do it, would it? I've been keeping enough water in the bottom of the tray to keep it humid. The tray sits on a heat mat. I typically spray them in the morning and then again in the evening. If anything, it may be too much water but this evening I went in and the tray was dry and the few clones left had wilted beyond resusitation. There's got to be something I'm missing but I'm lost.

I would loose the heat mat !
try to keep the ambient temperature in the room where it needs to be instead of using a heat mat.......The mats often kill seeds and clones due to high temps.
Good luck!

I agree with uncle Andy. Loose the mat. I've found the best place for my clones is in my laundry room under 1 100w CFL. I have had 100% success with the same concept you are using besides the heat mat.

I float clones.
Take a large shallow container and fill with water. Get a fish tank aerator to keep oxygen in the water. Check PH, Cut clone, stick clone in a small hole made in a piece of styrofoam. float clone in water. when roots develop transplant to desired medium. 100% rooting in my personal results. 5000k cfl lighting I use 3 100 watt (actually 24 watt draw) change water every 5 -7 days.
A friend of mine told me he used weeping willow branch tea for the water and had great results. rooting in under 2 weeks. I see roots from 2-4 weeks. Follow basic cloning guide lines for cutting clones and you should be all set.
