    my first indoor

but i switched to 12/12 from 18/6 10 days ago and no sign of flowering yet - i dropped the lights a little at the same time so maybe they are getting more light and that is stopping the flowering?

    my first indoor

noticed first show of flowers yesterday and today i'm fairly certain 7 plants are female with 1 undecided - after 11 days on 12/12

    pretty lady

i've switched to 600w hps on 12/12 from fluro, which was on 24/24 for a couple of weeks then 18/6 for a further 4 weeks

i'm also using nutes from CX - very easy to mix but i've noticed that the guide on the bottles is a bit too much so i've gone for slightly more dilute solution as i was getting some nute burn early on in the grow

very varied heights between them - which isn't surprising as i have a mix of indica and sativa strains but even between seeds of the same strain there is massive difference - 1 Big Buddha kali has only reached about 30cm and is very weedy looking, while another is about 80cm with strong sugar leaves and branches

the indica are looking healthiest though, with my 2 blue widow looking really strong and happy at about 95cm with thick stems, well spaced nodes and a nice lollipop growth from pruning

the only thing i'm not sure about is 2 plants which have shown extreme leaf cupping throughout growth and don't look so happy

i've added mg, tried reducing heat, nutes, water, promoted root growth, reduced humidity and de-salinated the medium but they just keep looking like this - any suggestions welcome!

    my first indoor

3 weeks into flowering looked a little like this

    4 weeks into flowering

my hps was faulty and i ended up in the room replacing it and let in a little light during dark period - the result was 3 plants were stressed enough to start producing pollen sacs - it really was very little light, my torch was on for a few minutes - won't make that mistake again

the most affected plant i tore out and binned - after a bit more reading I kept and eagle eye on all the rest of my babies and snipped off any pollen sacs before they could drop and now the remaining plants have all reverted to pure female flowers, although i can expect a few seeds

trying to keep temps up now as the weather has turned cold my grow space isn't well insulated - lights on at night when it's coldest and have covered the grow room in layers of cardboard as a very basic insulation but dark time temps dropping to about 12C. nute mix is kept at a steady 20C by a heater

pretty happy with my first grow so far and learning loads

I've smoked some of the hermie i ripped out well before it's time and it's got my pretty well medicated with a mellow, cerebral, vacant effect - from blue widow seed
