I'm not saying that your stats are skewed. I'm just saying that any increase in animal life has absolutely nothing to do with drilling for oil or anything else people have done, for that matter. It's literally impossible for humans to affect that much change without some sort of herd-raising going on.

And no, I haven't seen the proposed drilling area of ANWR depicted. I do know that it's on the northernmost part of ANWR. And I know that once you pump oil, for it to do any good, it has to get to a marketplace. Therein lies the web of pipelines and additional shipping terminals.

Democrats have introduced bills that address America's real challenges. (Details attached)

1. Women's Health Care (S. 844). "The Prevention First Act of 2005" will reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and abortions by increasing funding for family planning and ending health insurance discrimination against women.

I have never heard of any health insurance discrimination against women... actually they pay less due to thier longer lifespan.

3. Fiscal Responsibility (S. 851). Democrats will move to restore fiscal discipline to government spending and extend the
pay-as-you-go requirement.

LOL, good luck with that one. Maybe you have a little too much faith in democrats. Like republicans, they are almost all power-hungry Yale-educated businessmen only concerned about thier re-election and campaign funds.

4. Relief at the Pump (S. 847). Democrats plan to halt the diversion of oil from the markets to the strategic petroleum reserve. By releasing oil from the reserve through a swap program, the plan will bring down prices at the pump.

The US has a strategic oil reserve for a reason.... just in case of massive shortage or war. I highly doubt this will get passed, as the US needs it oil reserve. This is a shameless stunt to try and gain polularity, although it's only a short-term fix.

5. Education (S. 848). Democrats have a bill that will: strengthen head start and child care programs, improve elementary and secondary education, provide a roadmap for first generation and low-income college students, provide college tuition relief for students and their families, address the need for math, science and special education teachers, and make college affordable for all students.

This doesn't go too well with #3, above.... once again, this will be an "unfunded mandate", like no child left behind.

9. Standing with our troops (S. 11). Democrats believe that putting America's security first means standing up for our troops and their families

Okay, does that mean incresing military spending? Or does it mean they will just say "I support the troops!" in some CNN interview? What substantial support will they offer the troops that the government isn't already?

"Abusing power is not what the American people sent us to Washington to do. We need to address real priorities instead -- fight for relief at the gas pump, stronger schools and lower health care costs for America's families," said Senator Reid.

Oh, I thought that abusing power is what being a senator was all about.... silly me.
