Probably not.

I buy test kits 25 at a time, so that I can obsess over how long it takes to get clean. A heavy smoker takes a good 90+ days to clean up. Once clean, one good buzz will take about two weeks to clear up for a passing score.

This is testing with a cheap kit.

Many labs will use a cheap kit, and if there is a positive, they will do a more expensive test using more sensitive equipment. So don't smoke any more, and when the test comes back (hopefully in two or more weeks) insist on a new test. By then you might be clean.

The real question in my mind is were you clean after the original 53 days. If you smoke a couple times a week, 53 days might have been clean... depending on how good the stuff you smoke is.

The problem is that if they want to do a hair test to "clear up" your request for a new test, you are screwed.

But yeah, I would do stuff like get clean, smoke one time, then test myself every other day until I was clean.

Everyone's metabolism is different, so you should go buy some test strips, like a pack of 25... Then do your own testing to learn what you can and can't get away with.

The good news is that sometimes the cheap test is more sensitive that the law requires. So it will generate a positive result, even if the amount is below the legal detection threshold. That is why they then to a quantitative test next. So you can test positive, but be officially negative if the amount is low enough. That is the only saving grace. But it depends on what the standard you are being measured against.
