Confused about UA results.
Hey there everyone. I've been reading the forums for a while to see if anyone has had the same problem as I do with reading the results of a UA test. I've been interested in enlisting in the military for quite some time and haven't smoked anything since June 26th of this year, but before that was an everyday smoker for years. About two weeks ago I purchased one of those First Check home THC test kits and saw a faint line on the test strip, which according to the instructions is a negative. I sent it in to an official lab for testing anyway. Then two days ago I was able to go to the official lab site to view my results and it said positive marijuana, marijuana=19ng/ml. Could anyone please explain to me what this means? I think, and I could be wrong, that the home test kits are for levels 50ng, and official lab tests are for 15ng. Since this was two weeks ago should I be at or close to the 15ng level by now? Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to explain.

Confused about UA results.
All of the home tests I have reviewed are 50ng. Labs also offer a 50 and 20 screen and then the confirmation (such as you ordered) is at 15ng but is detecting only the metabolite (THCCOOH). For the purpose of standard tests you are below the cutoff level for the screen which means it would not go to confirmation. But that is a dangerous level (right around cutoff) which could result in a positive screen due to the allowable variance of +/- 20% for even the lab instrumental assays.
You should be completely clear very soon as the levels continue to decline. Already over 70 days....that's a long clearance time.
