From what I understand, the length of time that a saliva test can detect marijuana is relatively low, less than 24-48 hours for most people. If he hasn't smoked since the day before the test, I think he'd probably be in the clear anyway.

I do not speak from personal experience, but I have heard people swear that you can rinse your mouth out with hydrogen peroxide (not pleasant, but not the worst thing in the world - just don't swallow it) and that you can pass even if you smoked that morning.

Again, don't quote me as I have never even taken a saliva drug test. I've only read about them. But usually, people are advised to just stop smoking for a day or two if they're having a saliva test done. If around two days pass before he takes the test, he should be totally fine. :jointsmile:
