flower for almost five weeks

It's a potted plant, yeah almost six weeks now of flowering. A couple problems, a branch split in half, down the middle where two branches supporting flowers formed a v in the branch. The wind split it. So I tied it back together and to a stake to support the weight and am wondering if this will be a problem as it continues flowering? Will one or the other side die now? They are the two main colas btw. Another thing is the plant has not been given any nutrients except a couple times during preveg stage I think and I don't know if it's worth starting now. Should I cut off the tiny branches that have just now started to flower on the bottom because I've been told to prune the thing so would that be what I'm supposed to cut off? Now when to harvest? The hairs are probably 25-30% turning purple so not sure at all when they could be done.
