My neighbor had several plants about 5" tall with only the top leafs and was trying to grow them indoors. They started to die and I took one and transplanted it into my garden among the tomatoes. The soil is mostly 3 year old horse manure, the PH is 7.
after several weeks it took off and the stem went form about 1/16" Dia. to 3/8" see pic. I've been reading a lot of the threads of others and I am suffering with information overload.
Can you tell me anything about the plant in the picture. Some of the tomatoes are close in the background.
