Red Stems

i have been growing a plant outside but bring it in at night but now i have seen that some of the stems are going red can some one tell me why this is happening thanks

I also wondered what that meant, my fan leave stems are purple. Some strains have red / purple color naturally, but this can also be a nute defficiency =/
