First post and hopefully got your attention with a chuckle on the profile pic. Where to start? Let me introduce myself "Introduction" thread style.

1. Tell us why you joined Cann.com
I am a Medical Marijuana (MMJ) patient, and noob non-profit biz owner in the SoCal area and am looking for new friends and colleagues in the MMJ field.

2. Why did I choose the MMJ field?
At first, I was just interested in how I can grow a small crop of bud for myself without getting into the law's jaws. As I searched through Google, I stumbled upon some MMJ classes here in the SoCal area and signed up for several of them. Sitting in the classes, I realized 3 things;
- #1 the people taking the class were really intelligent and caring individuals, stemming from various backgrounds
- #2 confirmed my hunch that the MMJ field is about the "caring" for real people with real ailments, not just 'partying'
- #3 you can make a living doing this, legally (state level)

3. Why did you join this forum?
I like that it's an active forum with lots of members. I specifically lurked around and sniffed out the Cultivation Forum and found some really good info there, so decided to join. Hopefully, I can start to add value someday soon.

4. Where you are from...
Southern California, but have lived all over the US and even Japan (repatriated last August)

5. Smoked or grown Cannibis before?
Smoked for recreation in the US and while overseas. I use a vaporizer now for my chronic (severe shocks) back pain and have started to tinker with tinctures and (m)edibles. Why chronic back pain? I used to play a lot of golf back in highschool, as an aspiring PGA tour golfer, then back pain set in.

I have run out of Q's & A's. So I will leave it here. As I get more momentum with my non-prof mutually benefit org and first grows, I will post on "how I go".

So Cali here:
Join the groups here. You'll need to. They support Safe Access, not so much affordable.
However, there is a ton of support for you, if you go to jail for it.
None for patients in hospitals or health crisis. Somehow, has really changed my opinion of Activism. as, I scan the groups for Safe Access, I do not see 'Affordable.'

Do join those groups though. If you go to jail.. there will be plenty of parties to fund your legal needs..

Something really seems askew to me.
