I'm gonna assume you're asking about the CFL bulbs that can be found at many larger retailers.

This question has been asked before, but I did a quick search and couldn't find the original.

The general consensus is NO, you do _not_ want these in your growroom.
I use them outside of my grow room, in other areas of the building, with no issues. They work fine for helping reduce any stray odors that may waft about while entering and exiting the grow space. They will have a negative effect on the product, if used in close proximity.

I don't recall the exact nature of the issues. A more thorough search effort could probably find the original posts, I just did a half-hearted quicky.
