Hey Sticky,

I have never used the 400 myself but a friend has.

I would have thought the 400 might cover that area. I think the LEDs are set to 60 degrees so the lower the light is the tighter the footprint.

The only way I see of getting more coverage from an LED light is to raise it, but low enough to prevent too much stretch.

Maybe you should go down the road of autos like me. The buckets are very close together, this lets the light cover more plants.

In your space you could have maybe 9 - 12 auto flowering plants, 1 foot sq of space per plant. I would go with 9 to start with. I think you will do well from that.

I tried the AK47, auto, feminised and the Blue Treacle, auto, fem in this grow, from Rhino Seeds. I think I will always be an auto fan from now on.

I think another Pro-Grow 400 should cover that space. But try the 9 auto flowers and your Pro-Grow 400 on the next grow. You only need to cover 3' x 3' then.

If you want to fill the tent with more than 9 I think you will need the extra PG 400. There is a new PG X5 for sale now I think. If I had the cash to spare I would get it, maybe after Xmas.

My plants are about 2' - 3' tall by now and they are fully grown. The autos also help when there are height issues, My tent is only 5' in height and I have no issues, I didn't LST this time.

Anyway, hope this helps. Cool that we have another LED grower here. I've also added 260w of CFL to my tent. I think this makes a difference. Maybe fills the spectrum the LED can't.

Take care
