Potentilla gracilis, just my guess after doing a google search. Says it grows in southwest Colorado.

Is anyone aware of "imposter" or plants that look ridiculously similar to cannabis that are native to the Colorado foothills? Hubby and I noticed plants growing above treeline that look like very low-growing cannabis, but considering that the 14er trail we were on was COVERED in the stuff, I doubt sincerely it was actually cannabis.
