How long do I have?
Hi, i live around 29 degrees lat and it rains very often in the spring and summer here.
I have two sets of plants growing outside.
The first set is a mix of sativas and indicas i got going under CFLs back in June and planted in the ground in early July. All 10 are about 2-2.5 ft tall now. They are now starting to grow little leaves right in the nodes of the big leaves. They already have around 7-10 sets of big leaves. I counted 5-9 blades on each leaf so i must be doing something good. I dug holes about 3 feet deep. Will this suffice for the remainder of the growing season or do i need to uproot and make them deeper?
The second set is 20 little indicas which are about 5 inches tall but nonetheless doing pretty good in the ground.
I looked at the frost dates in my area and my average risk of frost is from November 13 to March 15. I am 'guarenteed' no frost from April 10 to October 18. But i WILL get frost from December 12 to February 20.
SO that leaves me approx 3 1/2 more months (4-4.5 months if i'm VERY lucky) to continue vegging, flower and harvest my long-awaited bud!
My question is, do i have enough time to grow some decently good bud? When should i expect them to start flowering?
Also, what about the small 5-inchers? Will they produce anything?
This is a stupid question but... would it be possible to keep them alive through the winter so they grow really big next year?
My gut feeling is no but then again this is my 1st grow..
I have done extensive research and learned quite a bit. Any tips from the experts?? Thanks!
Pics were taken the day after a harsh storm came through. They are looking much better now.
