To be honest, I have had these in just regular daylight except for the first 2 weeks, which they were under a flourescent tube gro light. These are only the third batch I have ever tried growing, (just seeds acquired over time) and didn't know anything about growing except what I have learned from reading in this forum recently. What I'm saying is, I was ignorant of the fact that they required an actual light schedule. (Actually, to be honest, I didn't think there was this much info available on the internet)
Prior to this, I had just taken seeds and mixed into the soil in my backyard in California, never fertilized, just watered with the hose, and they would grow to 4 or 5 feet tall, but I always had to cut them down for one reason or another, so never got any results from them.
The plants are about 15 weeks old, and I have no idea what the PH is, but I have them in Miracle Grow soil, and used to fertilize them every few days with MG powdered stuff (12-12-12 I think) but have within the last month, switched to MG plant stakes (6-12-6) .
They are outside plants, in light from about 7 A.M. till 7 P.M., temp during the day reaching mid-high 80's during the day, and lows to 70's at night, with humidity usually around 60%
imchucky666 Reviewed by imchucky666 on . getting anxious! I know I have a ways to go, but can anybody give me a guesstimate how about much longer until I will have something??? these are about 14 or 15 weeks old, and seem to be happy and growing fairly quickly. I would also like to know what the rusty colored spots are that are appearing on some (not all) of the larger middle leaves, and if I let go for a couple days, seems to dry up the leaves like they're burned from heat or something.
