the bugs man they came in the night!

so just a few days ago my plants started to form buds and god damn do they alreadys smell skunky... somehow although i went back today and there were so many eaten leaves! i sprayed with a bug killer for just about everything however under the leaves i found what looked like little trails of black poop stuck on the bottom of each leave which i quickly removed is there any way to keep these bugs away? and what could they be up until now nothing that devestating had come near my babys. also will they be alright now that the danger is gone?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but that sounds like "european Lilli beetles" Scarlet lily beetle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia they are tough to deal with now that you are in flower Neem seems to be your best bet

I know my reply is late for this one poster but maybe it will help others. You can kill and prevent almost any and all bugs with diatomaceous earth and not use any poison! You might want to give a quick rinse right when you harvest without drenching your buds since it is not good to inhale too much of it but is safe for humans to eat.
