I've never lived in Miami, but I have spent several weekends trips there. I've never had an issue. Then again, I never ran into cops while smoking. I wouldn't expect them to be as liberal as some states, like Cali.

I live in an apartment complex and my next door neighbor (old guy) has complained to the land lord, called 9/11, talks loudly about what a scum bag druggie I am, and that I am most likely a dealer (which I'm not, I have a decent job that pays the rent and gives me more than enough to spend on what I want), and he and his wife give me dirty looks and whisper to each other whenever they see me.
