I have asthma, so I go through a lot of Robutussin DM for legit (non happy) purposes, cause I'm always fighting back respitory tract infections. Probably pick up a bottle of that shit every month, and never had a problem

The DEA can monitor my cash transactions as much as they like, but I'd like to know what the fuck they're going to do about it. Seriously, the only info recorded at a cash sale:

- One bottle of cough syrup, sold.

So are you trying to tell me that somehow they can tell the difference between you buying thirty bottles over a month's time, and thirty people buying thirty individual bottles over that same time period? And even beyond that, is the DEA going to sit around and watch the store camera footage, scouting out for who's been using cough syrup?

And then they're going to use face recognition software (which doesn't even work, especially off those craptastic WalMart cameras) to ID you, and then they're going to stake out your house, and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars investigating you.

All to find out that I have respitory tract problems and use cough syrup a lot? That is total and complete horseshit.

The sign is there for the same reason law enforcement puts up signs everywhere; to scare you. And by the looks of this thread, some people bought into it.

The DEA isn't interested in you. They go after big time growers and dealers, unless you're dumb enough to do something so blatent that nailing you to the wall was just as easy as looking the other way. There's only 3000 or so DEA agents nationwide; not a bunch. Hell.. the ones in Arizona can't even spell shit on their own website correctly. Those guys are jokers.

Jokers that I'm always on guard for, but there's a fine line between respecting a legitimate and rational concern (like making sure if you're growing weed to practice light and smell control), and thinking that the CIA is going to do a hit on you because you bought some tussin.
