    Upstate NY Growing outdoors

I live in Upstate NY and was wondering how late in the year can I still put plants out that will still produce?

    Upstate NY Growing outdoors

I just put a healthy looking one footer in our garden with the tomatoes. I'm confident she'll be good. I expect to get her out of there by the end of September. So, to answer your question, early August is fine. Just be mindful of September temps and if it gets really cold at night, bring it in and then back out in the morning.
