What a miserable first sub experience..Weigh in...

Well, I smoked for the first time in months last Monday (One good rip) and then was offered a great job out of the blue on that Thursday. After being offered the job I quickly went home and ordered QF in case my home tests were showing me dirty up to test day.

Needless to say I took a home test and was negative but still decided to use QF to be on safe side.

Well, before leaving I filled the small vial (Uric Acid, accidentally over filled it) and added it to the QF 3oz container (Already problems and worrying whether or not it would affect the weights and measurements) I got to clinic left my wallet/Phone and QF in the car. I was able to talk my way into leaving the office to grab my phone etc

I got back into the office and was called back immediately.....

Instead of doing the test first they went in reverse order, physical, xrays etc. Two hours later it was test time. I walked into the bathroom locked the door and pulled out the sub. To my horror the temp was down to 92 and the warmer was on its last leg not to mention the room and cup being cold as ice I knew if i didnt get creative I would have a huge problem.

I quickly urinated in the cup and let it sit for a second raising the temp of the cup and also the temp strip fastened to it. I dumped out my urine and gave it a good shake, then added QF to it.

The temp held fast at 97 so I ran for the door to give her the sample.

I know people have had stupid issues arise but I wanted to post mine so that people could see what happens etc.... This was my first drug test so I didnt know that upon entering the facility you arent technically allowed to leave until after the sample is provided. I left with a monitor who walked me all the way out to my Honda (I had to hustle) but dont plan on them being so kind......

I should know what happens soon, but I do have a question to anyone who knows...

Is there any reason for concern regarding over filling the small vial of uric acid? I was worried that the uric acid might have spilled out? I did cap it after over filling it and shake it up. I am sure there is plenty of trace for me to be safe.

Also..... Is there any issues that could arise with the droplet or two of my own urine being in the bottom of the cup before quick fix was added?

Any comforting would be great although I am not super worried!

I will update everyone with my results as soon as I get it!

Hi. i have a test tomorrow. Using QF for the first time. I am a nervous wreck. i am a female. also, i replied to this since it was most curretn date - anyone know how to tell me to POST something instead of reply? i am so freaked out i cant think straight. Thx!

"Jstwannapass," I've never used QuickFix, but I've subbed clean urine five or six times in my life. As a woman, it's a bit easier to sub than it is for men.

I filled a plastic icing bottle with urine. They're tube-like bottles. I assume QF comes in its own container, so go with that

Put the bottle beneath your crotch and then pull on a pair of tight undies. To be doubly safe, also wear a pair of nylon stockings or tights. A loose skirt will make it impossible to see any bulge. Unless your test involves a pelvic exam (it won't), then you'll be able to go hours with the container between your legs. Your body will keep the QF the proper temperature.

*Update*

Well guys, I passed so the madness didnt flaw the specimen beyond the cutoff range. Test was a 7 panel IA with a GC/MS only upon a positive result of the IA. I was a negative on the IA. ANOTHER QF SUCCESS although almost a disaster due to operator error

Quick tips.....BRING IN THE QF WITH YOU THE FIRST TIME YOU ENTER THE FACILITY!! Heat it up like mentioned, if using a rubber band double it up so the meat of the pack contacts as much surface area as possible. I also slipped it into a sun-glass case to really hold the heat (It essentially held to over 90 degrees for 7 1/2 hours.

DONT PANIC. Things can happen so be prepared for the worst..............(Like low temp)

I passed my home tests so I wasent to concerned with using my own sample to warm the cup in my emergency but it did work! I dont know if there would have been a problem if I was not passing the home tests.

I have been sweating all day because of all the open possibilities and problems stated above... but hell, If I passed I am sure that you will too.

Good job elevatedconcep.
The first attempt at subbing is always the most anxiety laden one. Thats why its smart to practice before hand to get it down right. Peeing with dirty pee is never a good idea to warm up a collection cup. You got lucky.
If it ever happens again and the temp is a little low, just rub your thumb against your clothes for a couple seconds, then hold your thumb against the temp strip for a couple second. When it reads 98 step out of the room.
