Hey,

First off, forcing a plant to bloom outdoors using plastic garbage bags is far from a good idea.

Just let nature take its course and be patient. The plant will bloom naturally in a few weeks anyway...

If you try to bloom a plant outdoors you need to block all of the light but also keep fresh air around it. You are suffocating your plant in a garbage bag...

Also, you can't be blocking all of the light with a garbage bag so you may end up turning your plant into a hermie with all the stress you are causing it.

From your pictures I think you have a male. In the July 10th picture you have a close up of the stem. That little thing sticking out of the stem looks like the beginning of nanners.

So basically, I think you have a male plant, or possibly a hermie from all the stress. It's possible the plant was always a male but there is also a chance that you stressed it into becoming a hermie. But I'm not 100% yet as it is very early into sexing. Give it another few days and post a clear picture of the same area.

Anyway, I think you were unlucky this time. Be sure to leave the plants take the natural way next time and leave the garbage bags for the garbage men

Take Care

silent leprechaun Reviewed by silent leprechaun on . First ever grow with some questions for more experienced This is the first plant I've ever grown. I have to keep it out doors. I believe it first started coming up in late April so I figure its approximately 10 weeks. Decided to see if i could force flowering so I used only thing available, Black garbage bags. I put garbage bags on at 8pm and off at 8am, I realize that garbage bags are not ideal with lack of ventilation and humidity but all i can do. First question is- am I right in thinking this is a female? And when i take garbage bag off I notice Rating: 5
