first time growing 3 by 5 space and 9 seeds

ok so its 5ft long 3ft wide 7ft high. and 9 seeds im wondering if it would be better to grow 1-2large plants or to just grow them all small. also wondering what kind of equipment i will need i got a few. hundred to spend on lights and stuff really looking to grow at least a pound in 2 months. i have the auto flowering seeds. if you guys cld please help me out with advice and where to get the stuff to make a nice grow area

I have a 3 x 3 x 5 tent and I can only fit 4 plants inside. I would only plant 6 if I were you.

The plants will be very happy with the space. They won't be fighting each other to get at the light. I had this trouble in my first grow. Less is sometimes more !

The problem with long grow rooms is how to evenly disperse the light. Some might go for a light mover in long rooms, but I think yours will be ok.

You could have 2 x 400w HPS for flowering. This will keep the light evenly spread. But I am an LED grower so I would go for 2 x Pro-Grow 260. But that's just me.

I think you would have great results and keep your power bills low. You should have a look at my grows in my signature below. I'm on my second LED grow.

The company I buy from is in the US. Hydroponics Hut. I would get 2 x Pro-Grow 260 which would come to about $600. Price of a couple of ounces ! In time they pay for themselves.

If you are looking to make 1lb every 2 months (I think a little longer) from 6 plants you will need some good (powerful) lights and good air extraction.

Imagine that you will make, on your first grow, 0.5g per watt. So you will make 500g from a 1000w input. 500 grams = 1.1 lbs.

You will need a large carbon filter/scrubber to keep the stink down. The carbon scrubber will need to be attached to a good quality, speed controlled extractor fan.

You will need fans inside the tent to train the plants to become strong enough to hold up the weight of the buds.

ok so by good powerful lights to get the 1lb how much watts are you thinking? i dont think ima go with led id like to try just normal

looking to spend like 500 total for my setup if possible

ive watched a good amount of youtube videos and people have them like 8ft high with like 3 lbs on it was hoping for that

i was looking around on ebay and you can get 2x 1000w hps bulbs for like 60$ so i think i can make a nice like 6000w setup

but this is my first grow and i have really no idea what im talking about, also how much is it to keep good air extraction. is air flow or light more imporrant?
