ona block contaminated buds... read this
hi guys.
recently acquired some nice buds which i keep in a plastic box. theyre nicely dried so i wrapped them in a bag. i placed a tub of ona block odour eliminator in the box along side the bag so it would eradicate smells before they build up stink out my room. the problem is my buds now smell soapy and have a nasty soapy taste when smoked. id say it is ruined but does any1 have any tips i could try to remove this. anyone else have this problem.bashmans Reviewed by bashmans on . ona block contaminated buds... read this hi guys. recently acquired some nice buds which i keep in a plastic box. theyre nicely dried so i wrapped them in a bag. i placed a tub of ona block odour eliminator in the box along side the bag so it would eradicate smells before they build up stink out my room. the problem is my buds now smell soapy and have a nasty soapy taste when smoked. id say it is ruined but does any1 have any tips i could try to remove this. anyone else have this problem. Jeez... so you air locked your buds in a plastic box 'with' the Ona Gel ?
That was a bit harsh no ? I would understand someone leaving the Ona on top of the plastic box to neutralise any escaping scent of weed, but not in it...
I'm afraid your buds might be ruined... If you even put an 'unlit' scented candle in an air tight plastic box then soon enough your buds will stink of strawberries or whatever.
I don't know of any way to reverse the effects of Ona Gel, I have only read posts on how to get it to work better.
hopefully someone here will let you know if it could be harmful or not. Maybe wait before you smoke it just in case...
Take care, sorry for your loss, but live and learn I suppose.

thanks for the reply.
the box is quite big and the bag of buds is in one corner and the ona block in the opposite. the box is not air tight so i was hopin that the ona would neutralise the odour before it escaped the box. i never expected it to penetrate the carrier bag the buds are in, i thought it just attatched to mollecules floating in the air (which iv read somewere).
i was thinking to maybe wet the buds and then letting it dry out again not sure what this would achieve but its worth a try. someone else also mentioned using tobacco flavourings to mask the soapy flavour, again this would involve wetting the bud but when dried leaving it with an orange flavour. what you think?
and yep big lesson learned, hope people read this before they make the same mistake!
