Question About The Arizer Solo Portable Vaporizer

I ordered the Arizer Solo Portable Vaporizer, for I am a medical cannabis patient and it is getting too harsh on my lungs just using a pipe. I'm supposed to receive it tomorrow.

My question is, with this Vaporizer, do you grind up the cannabis and just put it on the end of the stem that goes into the unit? What I mean is that the ground cannabis will then fall into the heating element area of the unit. Is that how you do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I never had a Vaporizer before.

One more question; I have some very finely ground hash. Can I use it with the Arizer Solo? If so, what is the best way?

With the Solo, and any other vape, the herbal material should be ground up for maximum consistency and efficiency. At the end of each stem of the solo stem, there's a cup section to pack in your herbal material. At the point of maximum packing, it should be 0.2Xg for an absolutely filled and packed bowl. I don't take my stems out right side up, I flip my whole vaporizer unit upside down and pull out the stem. I've lost a lot of oil vape bowls by the inexperienced taking the bowl out right side up...

I've used some hash before, but it wasn't powdered. My experience with that certain hash was less than satisfactory. The best way to smoke the powdered hash is to keep it powdered and layer your bowl so it's weed-hash-weed, so that it's in the middle of the bowl and doesn't fall onto the heating element.
Hash aside, Oil is the way to go with the Solo, IMO.
