Any suggestions as to why this is happening?
Hi,
I am new to this. I am in week 2 of my cycle. I have noticed yellow spots on my leaves. Please see the attached pictures. I am using a 400 watt system wtih Miracle Gro potting soil (which I will not use again). I have currently 4 plants growing with the light about 9 inches above the plants with 1 light centered in the plants for the lower leaves. I have not added any chemicals other than today. Any advice would be appreciated.mainegrower Reviewed by mainegrower on . Any suggestions as to why this is happening? Hi, I am new to this. I am in week 2 of my cycle. Do you mean week 2 of 12/12 light cycle? Looks like you might have spider mites. Some times changing the light cycle will bring those little bastards on.(happened to me a couple of times)....Get you a Shell No Pest Strip or two (the active ingredient is Dichlorvose) and hang it in your grow room....Does the trick for me.
Also, you might have that 400 watt light a little too close to the plants....Notice the rolled up edges on the leaves? If nothing else, I'd say you got some heat stress going on.
What are your temps?...How about ventilation?...Got any moving air in the grow room?
The MG ain't really all that bad...You just gotta be careful how you feed.
PEACE.............J

Clearly a Ca/Mg issue. That will curl the leaves upward.
If those were mite problems he wouldnt be asking it would be apparent due to all the bugs and webs....at least I hope.Keep on Keepin on, it will all come together.

it could be a whole list of thing. but try not to get water on the leaves of ur plant when u water it, sometimes that causes yellow spots on the leaves. i guess when there is water on the leaves the light will concentrate on the water droplets and cause yellow spots. try to just water at the base of the plant and see if that helps.
