I'm also growing in direct sunlight in Cali and for the first time ever all my plants are turning slightly lime yellowish....they are planted in black pots and I noticed when transplanting that the roots get very hot in the 8-10 hours of sunlight a day. Is it bad if the rootball of the plant gets as hot as outside temps, say in the 90's? My plants don't look as happy as they did two years ago when I grew outside. I haven't changed the soil; mix much except went to bagged topsoil for drainage and 1/3 peat moss. Could it be N deficiency...I'll post pics tomorrow.
