    vegging after flower

Quick question. If I go back to veg after collecting the buds, how long until being able to flower again and how much larger will they grow? I am asking for a couple reasons, one I am limited on space, and two I want to take clones but have heard you cant take clones when in flower, so I thought if I bring the ladies back to veg I can then get a cutting. I want to grow the clones in veg while re-flowering the mother(s). This would only be one time as the plants I have now are currently un-sexed. Once I know they are all female then I can simply take clones before I start 12/12 every batch.

Thanks, and for those people who cant answer a simple question without crunching numbers... here ya go.

    2x2x3 grow box
six 55/200w 2700k CFLs producing 3680 lumens each
    plain potting soil
superthrive and schultz 10-15-10 (mixed according to directions) applied weekly
    plain water once per week
runoff ph at about 7 or 7.25
    my blood type is O+
    I'm 5'11"
    my house is red
and my doberman is 3 years old.

    vegging after flower

Hey guys, I'm new to these forums. I have an ak-48 Feminized growing in my grow room. Just one plant. She's super healthy, about 7 inches tall, looks great, however, After about 3 1/2 weeks of Veg cycle, I put her on 2 days flowering at 12/12. I put her back at 24 after those two days, to hopefully populate some alternating nodes before I go back into flowering. I was just wondering if you thought it would be fine to wait until I have those alternating nodes grown? I'm still new to growing, this will be my second attempt. Years ago I grew a plant that was destroyed by someone who was drunk, so I never got to see her full potential. I was 19 years old. At 31, I no longer have to worry about that stuff :P Anyways, I dig reading the forums, and any information would be so appreciated. Take care everyone!

    To answer hardtail70's question:
What you're talking about is called re-vegging. You will find information on it on forums, and from what I've been learning, they don't yield as much.

    Coads1's question:
So you figure that 2 days of flowering will produce some alternating nodes? I don't really know if that works, I've never really heard of it. Going back to flowering is your call. If they get too big, then obviously you need to flip them to flowering. It will be fine to wait, as in it won't be doing any damage to the plant. Good luck with that!

Best to post your questions in your own thread. But since protocol isn't really a primary concern around here I'll answer anyway.

You can flip your plants to flower whenever you want once they are no longer seedlings (after week 1 - 2 strain dependent). The plant will start alternating nodes once it reaches maturity between weeks 3 - 6 (again, strain dependent). I don't recommend flipping in and out of flower although some do this to determine plant gender. Flipping back and forth between flower and veg will stress the plant and can cause hermies in plants that have weak genetics.
