As an update, I just took a home test and passed! I know thats not a guarantee, but do you think it means I could have a good shot at passing on my own with medium dilution? I did not dilute all the way but it was probably at least my 4th or 5th void of the day and I have been drinking more water and cranberry juice than I normally would the past 2 days. I used a First Check home test, which tests at same level as my test on Friday will. This is also the same time of day which I will actually take the test on Friday
This makes absolutely no difference at all. The human body is not some kind of machine operating on fixed settings. Metabolic rates vary day by day and hence, so do THCA levels.
Anytime you test yourself, you always use the first urination of the day. THCA concentrations are at their highest with the first urination of the day. Therefore, by using the first urination, youre testing yourself under a "worst-case scenario". And if you test negative under that "worst-case scenario", you'll test negative given to you at any time.
Taking a home test during the later parts of the day skews the results due the fluids that are consumed during the normal course of the day. The fluid consumption dilutes the THCA-concentration that is present in the bladder to where the urine sample can register a negative. The dilution phenomena is only temporary - once the fluids ingested had all been urinated out, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine by the kidneys, and thus the donor is right back to square one. This is also why drinking a bunch of water in the days before a U/A is useless. Therefore, drinking fluids is only helpful on the day of the U/A.
