Is it possible to fit 24 plants into 1m2 ?

I think that will be a little cramped.. Even in SOG growing the plants still need about 30 cm2 for each plant.

If you fit 24 plants in a 1m2 space that gives each plant 20cm each. I suppose it could work but it would be tight for all of them.

The only thing that is shorter in SOG growing is the veg time. I veg for 4 - 5 weeks from seed. However with cuttings you can cut 2 weeks off the veg.

In a year you might get one more harvest in. This is where you will make the extra yield.

It's hard to say what you will harvest as there are more factors involved... lights, ventilation, growing medium, nutrients, etc etc.

In an optimum growing environment you could get what it says on the seed packet. 400-500g p/m2. But this figure is made from perfect environments.

Be sure you go with square pots of you fit 24 plants in a 1m2 space. The square pots maximise space.

I also have a 1m2 area, I am currently growing 4 plants from seed. they are about 2 weeks into bloom right now and look amazing !

You can check out the current grow in my signature. Grow log No.2

Maybe my grow logs might help you decide. Personally I would go with growing 4 good plants. It will save you having to keep a mother plant and save all the hassle of SOG.

If you have a sea of green area of one square meter, with 24 plants and one square meter with 2 plants. The growing time will be different for the two options, but this is not important. The plants will grow fully to its potential within the limits of one square meter. Both setups will be harvested when the crop is optimal. Time is not to be compared. What will give the most crop? Approximately how much will this 1 square meter give? On Rating: 5
