There are many reasons a seed does not sprout. Over watering, poor seed planting and bad seed are just a few things that can go wrong.

Planting a seed is easy if you follow a few simple steps. Use fresh steril soil. Not so importsnt to start a plant but important to growing one to maturity. Keep soil moist but not soaked. young seedlings drown quite easily. Always plant seed pointed side up. This is very important. the young seedling will sprout its tap root from the point of the seed. The root will curve on its way out to head down. If the point is down the root will come out and curve upwards, the root will realizt the error and ess back downward, wasting precious energy that would have been used to push the seed out of the soil. Lastly plant the seed from 1/4 to 1/2 inches deep and you should see plants in as little as 3 days but up to 10 days.

Hope that helps,
