this is an old-ass thread (sweet ass-car!) but i hear things like this ALL THE TIME and have even experienced bouts of bad smoking anxiety myself.

source: daily smoker for 9 years suddenly experience bad smoking anxiety that landed me in the hospital with chest pains in 2010. long story short: addressed my anxiety and stress issues, and now 99% of the time smoking is as enjoyable as ever when i am in a bad state mentally, i sometimes have a tougher time being high. you can't 'run' from your demons when you're high - your brain won't let you. thats why people focus so intently when they're ultra baked, and why people enjoy using cannabis as a tool for creative enhancement. i'm thinking you're merely experiencing heightened sensory awareness and your anxiety is twisting it into something profoundly negative.

ANXIETY is a real, physical ailment, not just something you have to deal with. you CAN feel normal again when you smoke (and in general). don't suffer, see a therapist. insurance covers it.
